![]() To that point, Blush says don’t be afraid to call up or swing by a studio in your area for info. “The worst advice can be found there from regular people who aren’t piercing professionals,” she explains. She also says to be wary of info you find on the Internet. For a general list of dos and don’ts, however, she suggests the following: don’t touch your piercing, avoid harsh ingredients like rubbing alcohol, and don’t sleep on your piercings. ![]() They also take less time to heal than other areas on the ear, averaging between six and eight weeks - after which you can switch up the jewelry.Īs for aftercare, Blush says to always follow your piercer's instructions, which could be different depending on climate and other factors. ![]() Since these piercings are on your lobe (aka non-cartilage), the pain should be minimal compared to piercings done on the cartilage. It may be tempting to pop into a spot in the mall for a piercing with a gun for the convenience, but it’s worth noting that the APP does not endorse piercing guns and disallows its members from piercing with the mechanism - so it’s best to go to a pro salon that uses needles. She recommends checking the Association of Professional Piercers website for a list of piercers in your area, and then check out their social media pages and consider the ones whose artistic vision aligns with your own. Picking a reputable piercer can be overwhelming, Blush says. There’s a lot to think about when considering a triple lobe piercing, and chief among them may be where to get it done. Moral of the story? As piercing artist Elizabeth Blush of High Hopes studio in New York City says, triple lobe piercings are all about self-expression that defies age and gender. And your hole placement can be just as distinct: think a classic curve along the outer lobe, a straight line, or a triangle arrangement. ![]() Whether you’re into a group of funky decal-like studs, hoop earrings of varied sizes, simple metal studs, or a carefree hodgepodge, the options are pretty endless. The beauty of triple lobe piercings is that you can truly create a unique look without having to pierce areas beyond your earlobe. As the name suggests, this style of piercing refers to donning three holes next to each other on your earlobe - and it’s perfect for showing off in the summer. If you’re looking to up your body art game in an edgy yet chic way, then consider triple lobe piercings. ![]()

![]() There is an iOS version and an Android ap. But I think the best landscape app for night photography is Stellarium. PhotoPills and Sun Surveyor are very good general planning apps. I captured the shot below before sunrise on that date.ġ0. On May 27th 2017 at 2:30 AM, I had more luck. September 3rd 2016 at 11 PM, which turned out to be an overcast night. Two moonless weekends came up through Sun Surveyor. I wanted to find out if the Milky Way center would be visible over the length of the Dutch beach. Here, I stood in a floodplain at my local beach. At any location in the world, you can use Sun Surveyor (and PhotoPills too) to plan ahead of your back country shoots. But I used the app about a year in advance. I used Sun Surveyor at the beach for the tracked Milky Way shot below. That’s when the Milky Way center is high in the sky. ![]() That has everything to do with the fact that it doesn’t go completely dark in summer here. ![]() At my resident latitude, the Milky Way is most visible during very particular dates and specific times during the day. But actually, I find it most useful when planning nightscapes. Sun Surveyor is one of the all-around best landscape apps out there. That’s fantastic if you want the sun in a very specific area in your photo. This means you can see where the sun will rise for instance. You can drag the time to the past or future. ![]() Live-view in Sun Surveyor shows you an overlay of the path a celestial object follows along the sky. But there’s also live-view augmented reality feature. There’s a map with your geographic location and the direction of the sun, moon and even the Milky Way center. Sun Surveyor was released earlier on Android.īoth photography apps have more or less the same feature set and are available on both iOS and Android now. There’s just one reason why I use Sun Surveyor over PhotoPills. Best App for the Moon or Sunrise: Sun Surveyor (or PhotoPills) I use another app for Android for exactly this. Then I combined it with a telephoto shot of the blood Moon to dramatise the end result.īut there was one key part missing in planning this shoot: The exact point on the horizon where the moon would rise. I ended up taking a wide-angle shot of sea buckthorn for the foreground. This eclipse might have been the longest in over a century, but I was in quite a hurry. gave me the exact time I needed. Between the moment I observed the Moon slide out from the cloud cover at 22:50 and the end of totality at 23:13 local time. But there was a big band of clouds blocking the moon-rise. So I put myself in a rather familiar area with a clear view of the eastern horizon and a bit of a foreground. And that the fully eclipsed Blood Moon would rise in the east. That means I knew that the eclipse had already reached totality when the moon rose. This is called the moon illusion and it played a part in the idea behind the Blood Moon shot below. When the moon is near the horizon, it looks bigger and brighter than when it’s high up in the sky. The best time to enjoy a blood moon or indeed any full moon, is after moon-rise, when the moon is close to the horizon. I primarily use this app for planning lunar and solar eclipses many years in advance. Time and Date offers an ephemeris for any place in the world in handy to use calendar tables. ![]() I have yet to find any dedicated landscaping app for either Android or iOS that is so feature rich. If dismemberment, blood, and violence aren't on your Valentine's Day agenda (boring) then perhaps Wales Interactive's latest live-action game will fit the day better. RELATED: HBO's The Last Of Us Buries The Myth Of The Video Game Adaptation Curse Keep an eye out for this one coming February 14. It's coming from a pedigree developer, too, as some of the developers at the studio have previously worked on the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series. It's a unique take on the action genre where the developer, Soleil, blends shooter and slash-em-up elements that will encourage players to experiment as they play. If you're after something to scratch that Ninja Gaiden itch, Wanted: Dead may be worth a look. There's plenty to get stuck into across multiple genres this week. For now, though, let's see what's new on the PlayStation Store this week. Soon enough, we'll be expanding our weekly release date pieces to include the upcoming PSVR 2 and all the wonderful games that will grace the headset. I doubt that Flying Wild Hog is going to push out anymore updates after this unless some critical bug needs to be patched, so this is probably the end of Shadow Warrior 3.Another week flipped on the calendar means a fresh batch of games hitting PS5 and PS4. It continues to boggle my mind that they took out the one thing that made the second game so fun when this upgrade could have been the perfect opportunity to implement a multiplayer mode. It’s definitely not enough to bundle the entire experience up and call it a definitive edition because the game still desperately lacks content and a cooperative mode. All it adds is some extra replay value, some gameplay improvements and that’s about it. Honestly there’s not much new content here but at least this “definitive edition” upgrade is free for existing owners. The visuals are no longer capped at 1080p in performance mode on this current version, and are actually closer to 1440p, so that’s a positive. In fact, the fps in the PS5 version dips into the high 40s at times during hectic gunfights and some stuttering still occurs. What’s interesting though is that the PlayStation 5 playing the previous PS4 version of the game through backwards compatibility already performs at a steady 60 fps, so there’s not much of an upgrade here. Two visual modes are offered: performance at 60 frames per second or 4K visuals at a capped 30 frames per second. The now native PlayStation 5 version of the game also includes PS5 specific features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers while shooting and even controller speaker support. Lastly, the developers have implemented a Hero mode, which essentially serves as a permadeath mode that decreases the number of times you can respawn. New game plus, which allows you to start over with all your unlocked gear and skills, is now an option alongside chapter select and a Hardcore difficulty option. ![]() Three new weapons skins can be obtained as rewards for completing this. Let’s start off with the brand new stuff, which includes a horde style Survival Mode where you brawl it out in battle arenas. At least they didn’t call it a “Director’s Cut” or something! This is going to be a review of what’s new but if you’re looking for opinions on the actual game itself, check out Joe’s review on PC. Unfortunately it doesn’t boast nearly as much new material to warrant being called a definitive edition. The console version’s graphics were also capped at a murky 1080p and missed a lot of the ambient particle effects and texture qualities that higher end PCs could render.Īfter nearly an entire year, developer Flying Wild Hog has repackaged Shadow Warrior 3 into a dubbed definitive edition that addresses many of the aforementioned concerns, includes native support for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, and even adds a slither of new content. FMV video playback was a mess and the target 60 fps that sometimes dipped into the 20s presented a visually inconsistent experience. The PlayStation 4 version suffered from tons of frame drops, stutters, freezes, and was all-in-all not a very good time. But worst of all, it lacked native PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series support and was only released on last-gen consoles and PC. When Shadow Warrior 3 launched back in March 2022, it was plagued with various performance issues and bugs. ![]() ![]() This 72 x 72 x 29 maxi square Metaltech baker scaffold has 5 double lock, non-marking casters and. Some home buyers take out a second mortgage to use as part of their downpayment on the first loan to help bypass PMI requirements. PMI is only required on conventional mortgages if they have a Loan-to-value (LTV) above 80%. PMI: Property mortgage insurance policies insure the lender gets paid if the borrower does not repay the loan. If property tax is set above 20 the calculator presumes the amount entered is the annual assessment amount. If property tax is 20 or below the calculator treats it as an annual assessment percentage based on the home's price. Real estate portals like Zillow, Trulia,, Redfin, & Movoto list current & historical property tax payments on many properties. One can't simply look at the old property tax payment on a home to determine what they will be on a forward basis, as the assessed value of the home & the effective rate may change over time. Those who rent ultimately pay this expense as part of their rent as it is reflected in their rental price. Property Tax: this is the local rate home owners are charged to pay for various municipal expenses. ![]() Extra payments applied directly to the principal early in the loan term can save many years off the life of the loan. If a home buyer opts for a 30-year loan, most of their early payments will go toward interest on the loan. The 30-year fixed-rate loan is the most common term in the United States, but as the economy has went through more frequent booms & busts this century it can make sense to purchase a smaller home with a 15-year mortgage. Loan Term: the number of years the loan is scheduled to be paid over. For your convenience we also publish current local mortgage rates. ![]() This calculator can help home buyers figure out if it makes sense to buy points to lower their rate of interest. If the buyer believes interest rates will fall or plans on moving in a few years then points are a less compelling option. In general discount points are a better value if the borrower intends to live in the home for an extended period of time & they expect interest rates to rise. In some cases a borrower may want to pay points to lower the effective interest rate. ![]() Interest Rate: this is the quoted APR a bank charges the borrower. If the loan amount is above 80% of the appraisal then PMI is required until the loan is paid off enough to where the Loan-to-value (LTV) is below 80%. Loan Amount: the amount a borrower is borrowing against the home. This is used in part to determine if property mortgage insurance (PMI) is needed. This means that they are lenient in accepting you for the insurance but they are very strict in actually giving you your claim in the case you need the insurance! Any part of the initial medical questionnaire can possibly void your claim if they deem it inaccurate, even if that question has very little to do with your actual claim! You can learn more by watching CBC Marketplace Investigation on Mortgage Insurance.Home Value: the appraised value of a home. This is because many banks and insurance companies have what's called a "Post Claim Underwriting" method of checking your medical history AFTER you file for a claim on your insurance. Make sure to read the fine print about the Mortgage Insurance you consider getting as well as fully understanding every question on the medical overview questionnaire, even it if means going over it with your doctor. To obtain Mortgage Insurance for yourself and not the lender, in the case you can not pay off the mortgage due to loss of job, injury, or death, etc., you would need to obtain separate insurance from a licensed insurance broker or your bank. The idea behind it is to convince the lender that you are not likely to default on the mortgage and willing to pay extra for insurance since you choose to pay less than the minimum down payment to avoid having to pay for PMI. Thus even though the insurance is paid by the borrower, only the lender is covered. The insurance is to provide coverage for the lender in case the borrower can not pay off the mortgage and the lender can not cover the cost of the mortgage by the resale of the property. Note: PMI is usually only required when the down payment is less than 20% of the home value or purchase price. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In order to use InControl services, you need to register for an account online. Dozens of opal varieties exist, but only a few, such as fire opal and boulder opal, are universally recognized. The name “opal” originates from the Greek word opallios, which meant “to see a change in color.” The Roman scholar Pliny used the word opalus when he wrote about this gemstone’s kaleidoscopic “play” of rainbow colors that could simulate shades of any stone. However, if its color is caused by chrome and vanadium, it’s called a chrome tourmaline. Verdelite or green tourmaline can resemble emerald. It’s named for the Drave District of Carinthina (now Slovenia) where this stone is found. Dravite or brown tourmaline is rich in magnesium, which causes colors ranging from brown to yellow.Certain trace elements produce distinct colors, and many resulting varieties have their own names. Tourmaline is not one mineral, but a fairly complex group of minerals with different chemical compositions and physical properties. The name “tourmaline” comes from the Sinhalese words tura mali, which mean “stone of mixed colors.” As its name implies, tourmaline stands apart from other gemstones with its broad spectrum of colors in every shade of the rainbow.Pink quartz is one of the most historic of mankind's gemstones, with evidence of rose quartz beads being used for nearly 10,000 years by ancient empires such as the Assyrian, Egyptian, Roman, and Greek who also made amulets, talismans, seals, and ornamental object.Pink quartz may be used to balance emotional health, release emotional blockages, and balance other chakras,” explains Birch. It's believed among crystal healers that rose quartz can promote feelings of self-love.Depending on the depth of the stone and the minerals it contains, the color may vary from a blush pale, pale pink to a dark rosy dusky pink. Opal is found around the world (Brazil, Mexico, Honduras and the western US) however Australia produces 95% of the world's precious opal and it is our official national gemstone. Story missions get the biggest payouts - is Kamea begging you to do another mission? As long as you've got the Mechs and the Warriors, listen to her. If you don't do Contracts fairly frequently, you'll run out of money. Just like real life, the biggest problem overall in Battletech is money - both getting it and keeping it. Stand in water - it'll lower movement, but standing in a body of water will make any Mech cool off far quicker. Find some terrain cover, use Guard, cool down, and save the punishing hellfire until the next turn. Back off and Guard - if a Mech's running hot, and there's no way less than full weaponry will do, then there's only one choice - back off. If your heat is zero, and you're not expecting a long fight, feel free to fire everything - but otherwise, if some weapons have a poor hit chance or you just need to save some heat, maybe try turning them off? Don't use all weapons - before you confirm an attack you'll see a list of your weapons on the right and their hit chances. There are a number of ways to avoid overheating though. Use too many weapons too often and it'll damage your Mech by overheating - and if you Max your heat meter your Mech will shut down and give enemies a Close Call precision shot, as if you'd been knocked down. Overheating is the biggest problem you'll face in combat. Jump can go further sometimes than even Sprint, or Up/Down easier, and you can still attack after using it - plus it can do a devastating Execute attack at the cost of some leg stability. For starters, remember there are three movement types - Move (basic, can shoot or guard afterwards), Sprint (move further at the cost of a further action) and Jump (if you have Jump Jets). How To Move - Easy, point and click right? Sort of. Most importantly - if you're in cover, or in a defensible position, feel free to let the enemy come to you. Take it slow and steady, and make sure to continuously have cover whenever possible. When To Move - don't think you need to Sprint all the time just because you can't see an enemy. Alternatively you might want to use the terrain itself as cover so you're not out in the open, which will make you a target for more than one enemy (which you don't want!). Forests reduce hit chance but lower visibility, and Rough Terrain lowers stability but makes it easier to withstand melee attacks. Where To Move - the spaces marked with yellow dots are special terrain markers, so they could adds bonuses or negatives.
